Honoring Judy Blume
This year the Annual Children's Book Art Auction at BookExpo America is honoring Judy Blume. One of my favorite books growing up was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. So I painted a little 3 part piece showing a moment not explicitly described in the story. The disappearance of Dribble. :)
In the actual art, the piece is horizontal, but here I moved things around here for the blog.
Proceeds from the auction will support the Kids' Right to Read Project and Banned Books Week. It's put together by the American Bookseller's for Free Expression and the ABC Children's Group. It's sponsored by Random House Children's Book this year.
Here's some more info...

Trees
I went on a roadtrip a few weeks ago with my littlest for company. On the way home the trees were so pretty along the side of the road I had to keep stopping to take pictures. She was very patient with me.
