the sloth in pictures

This is the sloth in person. His (her?) fur is all green from the algae that grows in it. And I believe there are certain species of moth that only live in the fur of the sloth.

This is me sketching the sloth, six months pregnant (me, not the sloth). He didn't seem to be worried about people at all. He made several attempts to get past the lodge, until one of the guides pulled hi branch close enough that he could actually reach the railing of the deck. Then he crossed to the other side and disappeared.

coati

The coatimundi was my favorite guy of the costa rican rain forsest. Isn't he cute? I didn't get a good chance to sketch him though.

Drawing at the Craft Table

I was with the kids at a playdate the other day and drew this of Solenn while they were cutting and pasting away at the craft table.

Shhh! Don't wake the baby.

Here's another. It's based on a painting I did a little while ago...

What ever you do, don't click on the baby!!

No promises!

Ok, I'm back! Well, maybe... we'll see. But I've had a couple of people asking about my blog lately, so I think I'll give it a new fresh start.

But...

I think it won't be just sketching. Lately I've been busy trying to learn flash so I can update my boring old website. I'm going to put in some links to my attempts at Flash as I go along.

So here is a link to my very first flash animation. Ever.

(I don't think I can put flash in here, but someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Hard at work.

Due to a big move and lots of work, my blog is a little out of date. I hope to get back to my blogging shortly, so check again soon. And just to tide you all over, here's a little look at a sketch for a chapter book I'm currently working on. Posted by Picasa

Solenn in the Sand

It's weird to think that a person who didn't exist a year ago can be sitting playing in a sand pit. Posted by Picasa

A Little Patience!

Hi everyone, I'm just back from a weekend trip to Ireland and will be heading off for a longer trip to the US. But hopefully I'll be up and blogging again from the states in a few days or so!
