A Painting Class!

Today I started a portrait painting class.
The first time I've done "real" painting in quite a few years-
with oil paint and everything.
maybe 9? 10? Years?? Is that possible?
The caps of my paints needed a wrench to open them...

So we "planted" some bulbs (i.e. stuck them in a bowl with some stones and water), and despite my very ungreen thumbs, this is what we got:

It was so easy and fun and fast. The kids love them. Every morning when we wake up there's something new and exciting to see.

The only thing is, they stink! Noone told us that part!

Ice Cream

"I want some moke and some dat lobstah stuff."

This is what Carys said upon seeing a lobster billboard
the day after her first taste of lobster
at Waterman's Beach Lobster.

"Moke" is Carys for Milk.

This is her enjoying dessert ("ballila" ice cream)
after scarfing down half Glenn's lobster.

Can it get better than this?
