My puppy Zephyr died last month and I think my heart is broken.

Oh Anik...I am SO sorry. My heart hurts for you. I lost my sweet Brandy girl this past October and I still miss her every day.

Zephyr was a beauty! What breed was he/she?

Thanks Phyllis. It's really hard. She was a once in a lifetime dog. She was a pyrenean shepherd - a small french herding breed. A wonderful breed for the right person/family.

Anik, I'm so so sorry that Zephyr died. I know how much you loved her. Zephyr was always the most talented dog at the park--what great circus tricks. Zuki is dying as we speak--congestive hear failure. She's stopped eating earlier this week and can't move by herself much anymore. She falls a lot now. I think we're putting her to sleep tomorrow which feels like the end of the world. I've been spending a lot of time with her over the last few days telling her stories of her puppy friends in New Haven. Happy park days. So so sad.

Love,
Simone

I'm sorry to hear about Zepher. I met her once and she sits in a special part of my memory, always smiling and always in love with you.

Will there be another Pyr Shep in your future? I lost my dear aussie nearly a year ago and he was part of my soul that still feels torn and raw. I have a new pup, a fawn pyr shep named Nickel and his laughter chases the heartach away most of the time.
